PREDISPOSIÇÃO AO ESTRESSE EM TRABALHADORES DE INSTITUIÇÕES PRISIONAIS
O presente estudo teve como
objetivo identificar, na produção científica
nacional, as evidências disponíveis acerca
da predisposição ao estresse funcional em
profissionais que trabalham em instituições
prisionais. Realizou-se uma revisão da
integrativa da literatura buscando artigos que
mostraram como funcionários de instituições
carcerárias (sejam policiais militares, agentes
penitenciários e/ou demais profissionais que
atuam no sistema prisional) estão predispostos
ao estresse funcional. Foram identificados 17
artigos, porém apenas 7 se enquadraram nos
critérios de inclusão e compuseram o quadro
de síntese para posterior analise. Verificou-se
que os profissionais de instituições de privação
de liberdade estão inclinados ao sofrimento e
ao adoecimento mental, principalmente devido
à tensão e responsabilidade de conviver com
transgressores da lei e por estar expostos
diretamente ao risco de violência. Além disso,
identificou-se que a insalubridade e condições
de trabalho precárias, com equipamentos
e materiais inadequados, dificultam o
desenvolvimento do trabalho de forma eficaz
e segura. Percebeu-se assim a necessidade
de buscar melhores condições de trabalho
e a efetivação de um Serviço de Saúde do
Trabalhador promover ações e planejar
estratégias para minimizar os efeitos das
demandas psicológicas no trabalho do agente
socioeducador.

Abstract:
The present study aimed to
identify, in the national scientific production,
the available evidence about the predisposition
to functional stress in professionals working in
prisons. A literature review was carried out in
search of articles that showed how prison staff
(military police, prison officers and / or other
professionals working in the prison system) are
predisposed to functional stress. Seventeen
articles were identified, but only seven were
included in the inclusion criteria and composed the synthesis table for further analysis.
It has been found that professionals from institutions of deprivation of liberty are prone
to suffering and mental illness, mainly due to the tension and responsibility of living with
law-breakers and being directly exposed to the risk of violence. In addition, it has been
identified that poor health and poor working conditions, with inadequate equipment
and materials, make it difficult to develop work effectively and safely. The need to
seek better working conditions and the realization of a Workers’ Health Service were
therefore perceived to promote actions and to plan strategies to minimize the effects of
psychological demands on the work of the socioeducator agent.
