AÇÃO DE BUSCA ATIVA “ DIA DO ESPELHO”: ESTRATÉGIA PARA DETECÇÃO DOS CASOS NOVOS DE HANSENÍASE NA CIDADE DO RECIFE: RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA
A hanseníase é uma doença infecciosa
crônica, estigmatizante e incapacitante causada
pelo agente etiológico Mycobacterirm leprae.
O diagnóstico é essencialmente clínico e
epidemiológico, realizado através da anamnese,
exame geral e dermatoneurólogico. Objetivo
desse trabalho foi identificar precocemente
lesões de pele com alteração de sensibilidade
e/ou comprometimento de nervos periféricos
no município do Recife, no período de janeiro
a outubro de 2017. A ação estratégica de
busca de sintomáticos dermatoneurológicos
denominada “Dia do Espelho” utiliza a seguinte
metodologia: no primeiro momento é realizada
uma visita técnica na unidade de saúde para
sensibilizar os profissionais sobre a importância
da busca de casos novos no território, assim
como, pactuar uma data para o acontecimento
da ação na unidade. O segundo momento é
realizado investigação das manchas suspeitas e
educação em saúde para a população. Durante
o ano de 2017, foram realizadas 28 ações
de busca ativa no território, através da ação
estratégica “Dia do Espelho”. Foram avaliados
865 usuários e desses 39 tiveram o diagnóstico
confirmado para hanseníase. Diante do exposto,
a busca ativa é essencial na identificação e
controle da doença, aumentando a detecção
dos casos no território. Conclui-se que a
busca ativa é uma ferramenta para prevenir o
adoecimento e evitar incapacidades, visto que possibilita um diagnóstico oportuno e tratamento precoce, além de interromper a
cadeia de transmissão da doença. Vale salientar que é de suma importância estimular
a estratégica com intuito de sensibilizar os profissionais no manejo da hanseníase,
além do empoderamento da população proporcionado pela educação em saúde

Abstract:
Leprosy is a chronic, stigmatizing and disabling infectious disease
caused by the etiologic agent Mycobacterium leprae. The diagnosis is essentially
clinical and epidemiological, performed through anamnesis, general examination
and dermatoneurological examination. The objective of this study was to identify
early skin lesions with altered sensitivity and / or peripheral nerve involvement in the
city of Recife, from January to October, 2017. The strategic action of searching for
symptomatic dermatoneurological patients called “Day of the Mirror” uses the the
following methodology: firstly, a technical visit to the health unit was carried out to
sensitize professionals about the importance of searching for new cases in the territory,
as well as agreeing a date for the occurrence of the action in the unit. The second
moment is carried out investigation of the suspicious spots and health education for
the population. During 2017, 28 active search actions were carried out in the territory,
through the strategic action “Day of the Mirror”. A total of 865 patients were evaluated
and of these 39 had a confirmed diagnosis for leprosy. In view of the above, active
search is essential in the identification and control of the disease, increasing the
detection of cases in the territory. It is concluded that active search is a tool to prevent
illness and prevent disability, since it allows a timely diagnosis and early treatment,
besides interrupting the chain of transmission of the disease. It is worth emphasizing
that it is extremely important to stimulate the strategy in order to sensitize professionals
in the management of leprosy, besides the empowerment of the population provided
by health education
