As hepatites
virais são doenças infecciosas de notificação
compulsória com elevada prevalência no Brasil.
A vigilância desses casos pode esclarecer,
além das fontes de infecção, as características
da doença e os fatores de risco, permitindo
delinear os padrões de distribuição das
hepatites. OBJETIVO: Analisar a incidência de
hepatites virais no Nordeste do Brasil no período
de 2010-2017. MÉTODO: Trata-se de um
estudo ecológico que utilizou dados coletados
do Sistema Nacional de Notificação de Agravos
(SINAN) do período de 2010-2017, no nordeste
do Brasil. RESULTADOS: Foram confirmados
3.402 casos de hepatites virais no nordeste do
Brasil. Observou-se aumento significativo em
todas as regiões. CONCLUSÃO: Os casos de
hepatites virais aumentaram significativamente
durante os anos, sendo 2017 o ano de maior
incidência e a Bahia o estado com o maior
número de casos confirmados

Abstract:
Viral hepatitis are notifiable infectious
diseases with high prevalence in Brazil.
Surveillance of these cases can clarify, besides
the sources of infection, the characteristics of
the disease and the risk factors, allowing to
delineate the distribution patterns of the hepatitis.
OBJECTIVE: To analyze the incidence of viral
hepatitis in Northeast Brazil in the period 2010-
2017. METHOD: This is an ecological study that
used data collected from the National System of
Notification of Diseases (SINAN) from the period
2010-2017, in the northeast of Brazil. RESULTS:
3,402 cases of viral hepatitis were confirmed
in northeastern Brazil. There was a significant
increase in all regions. CONCLUSION: Cases
of viral hepatitis increased significantly over the
years, with 2017 being the year with the highest
incidence and Bahia being the state with the
highest number of confirmed cases
