SOMBRAS DO PASSADO”: O PERDÃO EM BUSCA PELA VERDADE E RECONCILIAÇÃO
O presente trabalho compreende
a analise do filme Sombras do Passado (Red
Dust), cuja essência concentra-se no período
de transição da ditadura para um regime
democrático, na África, tendo as Comissões de
Verdade de Reconciliação como marco nesse
novo período. A obra cinematográfica relata
os trabalhos da Comissão Reconciliação, ao
analisar a possibilidade de conceder anistia
com relação aos crimes cometidos durante o
período, mas sob a condição do agente expor a
verdade sobre o ocorrido para obter tal perdão.
A ideia da comissão era contar os fatos para
que a nação tivesse conhecimento da gravidade
e unisse para evitar outro banho de sangue e
de sofrimento. Diante das cicatrizes contraídas
nesse tempo, o instituto do perdão através da
anistia, propor uma possível cura ao expor à
verdade sobre os fatos, como uma reconciliação
no tempo entre o presente e o passado para
livra-se desta passagem e recomeçar. O perdão
mostra-se como mecanismo que concilia
a lembrança e o esquecimento de forma a
possibilitar que o passado seja desligado e que
a promessa de um novo futuro se torne a saída
dessas feridas.

Abstract:
The present work includes the
analysis of the film Red Dust, whose essence
focuses on the period of transition from
dictatorship to a democratic regime in Africa,
with the Truth Commissions of Reconciliation
as a milestone in this new period. The
cinematographic work reports on the work of the
Reconciliation Commission, when analyzing the
possibility of granting amnesty in relation to the
crimes committed during the period, but under the condition of the agent exposing the truth about what happened to obtain such
forgiveness. The commission’s idea was to tell the facts so that the nation would have
knowledge of gravity and unite to avoid another bloodbath and suffering. Before the
scars contracted at that time, the institute of forgiveness through amnesty, propose
a possible cure by exposing the truth about the facts, as a reconciliation in the time
between the present and the past to get rid of this passage and start over. Forgiveness
shows itself as a mechanism that reconciles remembrance and forgetfulness so that
the past is turned off and the promise of a new future becomes the way out of these
wounds.
