INVENTÁRIO DO PATRIMÔNIO FERROVIÁRIO: DOCUMENTO E INSTRUMENTO DA POLÍTICA DE PRESERVAÇÃO
Este trabalho consiste em uma
análise do Inventário de Bens Imóveis da
Rede Ferroviária realizado pelo Instituto do
Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional no
estado do Piauí, considerando-o como um
documento importante sobre este patrimônio,
cuja elaboração teve por finalidade identificar,
conhecer e proteger seus bens em nome da
preservação da memória ferroviária. É, portanto,
produto de um determinado contexto, época e
interesses institucional, social e político. Esta
análise tem por objetivo verificar em que medida
este inventário contribui para o conhecimento
do patrimônio ferroviário como objeto sistêmico,
cuja seleção e preservação deve se dar através
da apreensão adequada de suas especificidades,
de maneira a preservar os elementos que
caracterizam e constituem sua essência – a
sistemicidade e funcionalidade, conforme os
ganhos conceituais mais recentes sobre esse
patrimônio e que colaboram para a definição
da abordagem deste trabalho. A perspectiva
ampliada proposta para o patrimônio ferroviário
vai além de sua arquitetura e insere a lógica
funcional que articula suas estruturas e bens e
contribui para compreensão dos valores deste
patrimônio de caráter multiescalar. O inventário
realizado pela superintendência do Iphan/Piauí
é objeto da presente análise por considerar que
o mesmo pode revelar muito sobre o acervo
ferroviário desse estado e, principalmente, sobre
sua preservação. Entende-se, inicialmente,
que este documento se enquadra no rol dos
inventários de conhecimento desenvolvidos
pela instituição ao longo de sua existência e
se apresenta como importante instrumento da
política de preservação vigente desde 2007

Abstract:
This work consists of an analysis
of the Inventory of the Railway Network
carried out by the National Historical and
Artistic Heritage Institute in the state of Piauí,
considering it as an important document on this
patrimony, whose purpose was to identify, know
and protect its goods in the name of preserving
the railway memory. It is, therefore, product of
a determined context, time and institutional,
social and political interests. This analysis
aims to verify the extent to which this inventory
contributes to the knowledge of the railway
heritage as a systemic object, whose selection
and preservation must take place through the
proper apprehension of its specificities, so
as to preserve the elements that characterize and constitute its essence - the systemicity and functionality, according to the most
recent conceptual gains on this patrimony and that collaborate to define the approach
of this work. The extended perspective proposed for railway assets goes beyond its
architecture and inserts the functional logic that articulates its structures and assets
and contributes to an understanding of the values of this multiscale heritage. The
inventory carried out by the Iphan / Piauí Superintendence is the subject of the present
analysis because it considers that it can reveal a lot about the rail collection of this state
and, mainly, about its preservation. It is understood, initially, that this document fits the
list of knowledge inventories developed by the institution throughout its existence and
presents itself as an important instrument of the preservation policy in force since 2007.
