ETNOBOTÂNICA NO BIOMA CERRADO: USO TRADICIONAL DE PLANTAS MEDICINAIS NATIVAS
Cerrado é o segundo maior Bioma brasileiro, e hoje mais da metade da cobertura original foi destruída. É uma bioma com grande biodiversidade de flora e fauna, e estima-se uma quantidade superior a 12 mil espécies de plantas no bioma, considerada a região mais rica do mundo, porém está em franca destruição, cerca de 30% das espécies estão na lista vermelha do Brasil. Nesse bioma habitam 636 comunidades humana tradicionais, que constroem sua cultura e modo de vida com manejo consciente da natureza. Etnobotânica é o estudo da interação entre os povos e as plantas, e resulta no resgate do uso tradicional de plantas medicinais para o tratamento de diversas doenças. Objetivo: mostrar as características do bioma Cerrado abrangendo a biodiversidade de fauna e flora, as comunidades tradicionais que vivem nesta área do Brasil, a etnobotânica, e a importância das plantas medicinais nativas do Cerrado para os povos e comunidades que ai residem.
Metodologia: Os artigos científicos usados na escrita da revisão foram obtidos usando as bases de dados: Google acadêmico, SciELO, PubMed, e sites do Google: literatura cinza, usando as palavras chave: comunidades tradicionais, conhecimento popular, manejo de flora, medicina tradicional, plantas medicinais. Resultados: existem vários artigos científicos sobre etnobotânica e comunidades tradicionais, mas poucos sobre etnobotânica e plantas medicinais do Cerrado, considerando a importância desse bioma para o Brasil e mundo. Conclusões: O conhecimento popular sobre o Cerrado e o manejo adequado dele é uma importante ferramenta para a conservação da biodiversidade de flora e fauna desse bioma. Também permite a conservação de comunidades de povos tradicionais, que vivem nesse espaço geográfico há centenas de anos.

Abstract:
Cerrado is the second largest Brazilian Biome, and today more than half of the original cover has been destroyed. It is a biome with great biodiversity of flora and fauna, and it is estimated that there are more than 12,000 species of plants in the biome, considered the richest region in the world, but it is in frank destruction, around 30% of the species are on the list red of Brazil. In this biome, inhabit 636 traditional human communities, who build their culture and way of life with conscious management of nature. Ethnobotany is the study of the interaction between peoples and plants, and results in the revival of the traditional use of medicinal plants for the treatment of various diseases. Objective: to show the characteristics of the Cerrado biome encompassing the fauna and flora biodiversity, the traditional communities that live in this area of Brazil, ethnobotany, and the importance of medicinal plants native to the Cerrado for the peoples and communities that reside there. Methodology: Scientific articles used in writing the review were obtained using the databases: Academic Google, SciELO, PubMed, and Google sites: gray literature, using the keywords: traditional communities, popular knowledge, flora management, traditional medicine, medicinal plants. Results: there are several scientific articles on ethnobotany and traditional communities, but few on Cerrado ethnobotany and medicinal plants, considering the importance of this biome for Brazil and the world. Conclusions: Popular knowledge about the Cerrado and its adequate management is an important tool for the conservation of flora and fauna biodiversity in this biome. It also allows for the conservation of communities of traditional peoples, who have lived in this geographic space for hundreds of years.
