AS RELAÇÕES PÚBLICAS COMUNITÁRIAS NO PROCESSO DE CONSTRUÇÃO DA CIDADANIA – A ONG Una.C E AS DEMANDAS DA SAÚDE
As demandas sociais que têm
emergido na sociedade contemporânea
produzem a organização dos interesses
de segmentos sociais em instâncias com
representatividade diante dos poderes e órgãos
instituídos. Assim, objetivamos, por meio
de uma discussão teórica e de observação
empírica, analisar o caso do Grupo de Apoio
aos Portadores de Hepatite C, o Una.C – ONG
localizada em São Luís, capital do Estado
do Maranhão, no Brasil, – descrevendo
e, ao mesmo tempo, articulando as ações
desenvolvidas durante cinco anos pelo Projeto
“C em Maio” aos princípios das Relações
Públicas Comunitárias, no âmbito da ampliação
da participação política e da construção da
cidadania.

Abstract:
The social demands that have
emerged in contemporary society produce the
organization of the interests of social segments
in instances with representation at the public
powers and institutions. Thus, we aim,
through a theoretical discussion and empirical
observation, to analyze the case of the Support
Group for Hepatitis C Patients, Una.C – NGO
located in São Luís, capital of the State of
Maranhão, Brazil, – describing and at the
same time articulating the actions developed
over five years by the “C in May” Project to the
principles of Community Public Relations, in the
context of political enlargement participation
and citizenship construction.
