DA ILHA A METRÓPOLE: PARTICULARIDADES E CONSEQUÊNCIAS DE UM PERCURSO CERCADO DE PERSPECTIVA, DESILUSÕES E DISTINTAS REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS
Buscamos alcançar o melhor
que a ilha do Marajó localizada no estado do
Pará possui, sua peculiaridade cultural, terra
do premiado escritor Dalcídio Jurandir, sua
complexidade nos impede de alcançar todas
as suas particularidades, pois tem muito mais a
oferecer do que os nossos olhos podem vê. Esta
tão bela ilha é predominantemente marcada
por hidrovias o que dificulta o acesso desta
população as políticas públicas, necessitando
um olhar pluralista visando à subjetividade
social, cultural e econômica marajoara,
tornando-se historicamente abandonada pelo
poder público esta região se destaca como um
dos piores Índices de Desenvolvimento Humano
do país. Com baixos indicadores sociais e pelo
abandono público o Marajó apresenta uma
série de vulnerabilidades sociais, entre elas a
exploração sexual, denunciada pelo bispo da
região José Azcona, que aprisiona crianças
e adolescentes submissos a esta violação da
dignidade humana, nesta condição muitas
delas são impulsionadas a metrópole Belém em
busca de melhores condições de vida. Partindo
desta inquietação que desenvolvemos este
trabalho com o objetivo de dar visibilidade a esta
região e também dar voz as mulheres que hoje
vivem em condição de prostituição que fizeram
o percurso Marajó-Belém. No decorrer deste
trabalho tentamos desvelar os percalços de
mulheres prostitutas que fizeram este percurso
através da técnica de coleta de dados história de
vida subsidiada pela pesquisa qualitativa, com
entrevistas facilitadas pelo Grupo de Mulheres
Prostitutas do Pará. Portanto, conseguimos
identificar suas próprias representações sociais,
sobretudo, os fatores que as impulsionaram a
uma série de vulnerabilidades sociais até a vida
adulta.

Abstract:
We seek to achieve the best that
the island of Marajó located in the state of Pará
has, its cultural peculiarity, land of the awardwinning writer Dalcídio Jurandir, its complexity
prevents us from achieving all its peculiarities,
as it has much more to offer than our eyes can
sees. This beautiful island is predominantly
marked by waterways, which makes it difficult for this population to access public policies, necessitating a pluralistic view aimed at
the social, cultural and economic subjectivity of the Marajoara, becoming historically
abandoned by the public power. This region stands out as one of the worst Human
Development Indexes. With low social indicators and public abandonment, Marajó
presents a series of social vulnerabilities, among them sexual exploitation, denounced
by the bishop of the region José Azcona, who imprisons children and adolescents who
are subject to this violation of human dignity, in this condition many of them are driven
to the metropolis Belém in search of better living conditions. Based on this concern that
we developed this work with the objective of giving visibility to this region and also give
voice to the women who now live in the condition of prostitution that have made the
Marajó-Belém route. In the course of this work, we attempted to uncover the mishaps of
prostitute women who did this course through the data collection technique supported
by qualitative research, with interviews facilitated by the Pará Women Prostitutes
Group. Thus, we were able to identify (their own social representations ), especially the
factors that drove them to a range of social vulnerabilities into adult life.
