PROJETO COGNITIVO: UMA ABORDAGEM DO ENSINO DE PROJETO PELO INTERIOR DA PRÁTICA
Investiga-se o projeto de Arquitetura pela abordagem cognitiva problematizando o
ensino de projeto no contexto da pesquisa científica por meio de experimentações realizadas
em sala de aula no primeiro ano de graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo. Discute-se o
aspecto cognitivo do projeto abrangendo análise e síntese, incluindo a autoavaliação do
aprendizado. A metodologia de projeto é tratada como um processo de ensino-aprendizagem
que torna o exercício projetual mais dinâmico e reflexivo, resultando em avanço cognitivo dos
alunos sobre a complexidade e as possibilidades de elaboração do projeto de Arquitetura.

Abstract:
The architectural design is investigated by the cognitive approach, problematizing
the design teaching in the context of scientific research, by means of classroom experiments in
the first year of graduate course in Architecture and Urbanism. The cognitive aspect of the
design is discussed by encompassing analysis and synthesis, as well as self-assessment of
learning. The design methodology is treated as a teaching-learning process that makes the
project exercise more dynamic and reflective, resulting in students’ cognitive improvement on
the complexity and possibilities of elaborating the architectural design.
