  • Abstract:

The school inclusion of children with autism is still a challenge, even with current laws guaranteeing this right. The objective of this study was to verify the results of mathematical teaching for the school inclusion of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through skills developed during the teaching of the discipline, from a brief review of the literature. Studies have shown that school attendance, appropriate strategies and methodologies, the characteristics of the ASD improve and facilitate the mathematical performance of these students, in addition, it was noticeable that the mathematical content was closer to the profile of the autistic student, configuring a strategy for learning, in addition to the help of other professionals. It is concluded that these strategies are fundamental and possible for a better school performance of autistic children, through the teaching of mathematics and its approximations with TEA.
