CONTRIBUIÇÕES DO PROGRAMA DE AQUISIÇÃO DE ALIMENTOS NA ALIMENTAÇÃO DE ESCOLARES NO MUNICÍPIO DE SANTA CRUZ DO CAPIBARIBE - PE
O Programa de Aquisição de
Alimentos (PAA) é um instrumento de
estruturação do desenvolvimento da agricultura
familiar, que permite a compra do produto da
agricultura familiar sem licitação. O objetivo
central do programa é garantir o acesso aos
alimentos em quantidades, qualidades e
regularidade necessária as populações em
situação de insegurança alimentar e nutricional.
A compra de alimentos da agricultura familiar é
algo novo e esse programa incentiva o consumo
e a valorização dos alimentos produzidos
pelos agricultores familiares, estimulando o
cooperativismo e o associativismo. O objetivo
deste trabalho foi analisar as contribuições
do programa de aquisição de alimentos nas
creches e escolas do município de Santa Cruz
do Capibaribe-PE. Foi realizada pesquisa
transversal com abordagem quantitativa e
qualitativa de caráter exploratório. Participaram
desse estudo agricultores, os gestores das
escolas e da creche, o secretário de agricultura
familiar e a nutricionista do município, os quais
responderam um questionário com perguntas
quantitativas e qualitativas sobre as contribuições
do PAA para o município. Constatou-se que
o PAA contribuiu para uma melhoria de renda
dos agricultores beneficiados. Foi percebido um
efeito positivo sobre a alimentação fornecida
pelos agricultores cadastrados no programa
de aquisição de alimentos, relacionando a
qualidade nutritiva dos alimentos que são
distribuídas nas redes socioassistenciais,
escolas e creches do município.

Abstract:
The Food Acquisition Program
(PAA) is an instrument for structuring the
development of family agriculture, which
allows the purchase of the produce from
family agriculture without bidding. The central
objective of the program is to ensure access
to food in quantities, qualities and regularity
of food insecure populations. The purchase of
food from family farming is something new and
this program encourages the consumption and
appreciation of food produced by family farmers,
stimulating cooperativism and associativism.
The objective of this study was to analyze the
contributions of the food acquisition program in
day care centers and schools in the municipality of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe-PE.
Transversal research was carried out with a quantitative and qualitative exploratory
approach. Farmers, school and daycare managers, the family agriculture secretary
and the town nutritionist participated in this study, who answered a questionnaire with
quantitative and qualitative questions about the PAA contributions to the municipality.
It was verified that the PAA contributed to a better income of the beneficiary farmers.
There was a positive effect on the food provided by the farmers registered in the food
acquisition program, relating the nutritional quality of the food distributed in the social
assistance networks, schools and nurseries of the municipality.
