FATORES LIMITANTES NA REALIZAÇÃO DE EXAMES HEMATOLÓGICOS EM AVES
A realização de exames hematológicos em aves é de fundamental
importância. Esses exames podem auxiliar no diagnóstico de doenças e
também no monitoramento do bem-estar físico desses animais e para isso é
importante que as amostras estejam em boas condições e em quantidade
adequada. Porém é importante salientar que alguns fatores podem ser
limitantes na realização destes exames, desde a escolha do anticoagulante
(dependendo pode chegar a causar hemólise) até a realização de contagem
manual do hemograma, fator este que se dá pelo fato de esses animais
possuírem hemácias e trombócitos nucleados, o que inviabiliza a contagem
automatizada (muito mais precisa). Este trabalho teve como objetivo descrever
os principais fatores limitantes na realização de exames hematológicos em
aves, como forma de tentar minimizar futuros erros.

Abstract:
Hematologic exams are a very important tool to diagnose bird’s
injuries. More than that, these exams can help monitoring its animal’s wellbeing,
so it’s important to have good quality samples. However, it’s important to
point that some factors can limit to perform these exams, which deserves
special attention since the choice of the anticoagulant (some of them can cause
hemolysis) until the manual blood cells count in the hemogram, this can be a
problem because the birds red cells and the thrombocytes are nucleated, which
unviable an automatic count (that are way more precise). This article’s objective
is to describe the main limiting factors in the performance of hemograms in
birds, trying to minimize future mistakes.
