O ENSINO DE MICROBIOLOGIA: DESAFIOS NOS CURSOS TÉCNICOS INTEGRADOS DO INSTITUTO FEDERAL DE GOIÁS (IFG)
O ensino de microbiologia apresenta
grande importância para além do ambiente
tradicional em sala de aula, sendo essa temática
diretamente ligada a conceitos cotidianos de
saúde e meio ambiente. Nos cursos técnicos
implementados na modalidade integrado ao
Ensino Médio (Curso Técnico Integrado Integral
em Análises Clínicas, Curso Técnico Integrado
Integral em Vigilância em Saúde, Curso Técnico
Integrado Integral em Nutrição e Dietética,
Curso Técnico Integrado em Enfermagem na
modalidade Educação e Jovens e Adultos), o
Instituto Federal de Educação de Goiás (IFG),
busca uma formação de excelência aliada a
empregabilidade discente. Dessa maneira, a
disciplina de microbiologia apresenta desafios
no processo ensino-aprendizagem, envolvendo
a complexidade científica do conteúdo ligada à
parte profissional e ao ensino dos conteúdos
da parte básica. O modelo tradicional de
ensino não possibilita o aprendizado científico
significativo, que estimule a criatividade, bem
como, a carreira acadêmica. A inexistência
de estratégias específicas de ensino torna-o
abstrato, sendo necessário o desenvolvimento
de metodologias que possibilitem o ensino efetivo
de microbiologia. A reflexão sobre tais desafios,
trabalhando essa temática com abordagem clara
e que possibilite o aprendizado é relevante para
os docentes. A identificação das concepções
pré-existentes, permite o esclarecimento
dessas informações e cria espaço para a
participação dos estudantes. Nesse contexto, as
atividades práticas mostram-se extremamente
eficazes, incentivando a curiosidade discente,
proporcionando correlações com questões
cotidianas. Assim, sugere-se a importância
estratégias diversificadas, com abordagem
focada no cotidiano discente, que anelem
conceitos presentes em seus cursos técnicos
integrados, contribuindo positivamente para o
ensino e aprendizagem de microbiologia.

Abstract:
The teaching of microbiology
presents great importance beyond the traditional
classroom environment, being this theme
directly linked to everyday concepts of health
and environment. In the technical courses
implemented in the modality integrated to High
School (Integral Integrated Technical Course in
Clinical Analyzes, Integral Integrated Technical Course in Health Surveillance, Integrated
Technical Course in Nutrition and Dietetics, Integrated Technical Course in Nursing
in the modality Education and Youths and Adults), the Federal Institute of Education
of Goiás (IFG), seeks a training of excellence coupled with student employability. In
this way, the discipline of microbiology presents challenges in the teaching-learning
process, involving the scientific complexity of content linked to the professional part
and teaching the contents of the basic part. The traditional model of teaching does not
enable meaningful scientific learning, which stimulates creativity as well as academic
career. The lack of specific teaching strategies makes it abstract, and it is necessary to
develop methodologies that allow the effective teaching of microbiology. Reflecting on
these challenges, working on this theme with a clear approach and enabling learning is
relevant for teachers. The identification of pre-existing conceptions allows for clarification
of this information and creates space for student participation. In this context, practical
activities are extremely effective, stimulating student curiosity, providing correlations
with everyday issues. Thus, it is suggested the importance of diversified strategies,
with an approach focused on the everyday student, that anele present concepts in
their integrated technical courses, contributing positively to the teaching and learning
of microbiology.
