Abstract:
The text deals with the expressions of the social question present in the municipality of Três Rios, taking as reference the popular knowledge articulated to the theoretical debate. The municipality has its origins in slavery and coronelismo. Currently has a development in the region in which it is located, however it does not appear with the indices of poverty, education and health.
