A VELHICE E ARTE: UMA ANÁLISE DA OBRA “ SÃO JERÔNIMO A ESCREVER” DE CARAVAGGIO E SUAS RELAÇÕES COM A FIGURA DA PESSOA VELHA.
O presente artigo tratará de
uma análise iconográfica da pintura de
Michelangelo Merisi Caravaggio conhecido
como Caravaggio, a obra São Jerônimo a
escrever de 1606 buscando em seus aspectos
compositivos e quais as simbologias que o
quadro traz acerca da imagem do idoso/velho,
contextualizando a essa construção com as
características e a posição na sociedade
que o idoso/velho assumia no período
barroco e realizar assim uma aproximação da
representação do velho na atualidade com a
utilizada no período Barroco.

Abstract:
The present article will deal
with an iconographic analysis of the painting
of Michelangelo Merisi Caravaggio known as
Caravaggio, the work Saint Jerome to write of
1606 seeking in its compositional aspects and
which symbologies the picture brings about the
image of the elderly / old, contextualizing this
construction with the characteristics and the
position in the society that the old / old assumed
in the baroque period and to realize thus an
approximation of the representation of the old
one in the actuality with the one used in the
Baroque period.
