MONITORIA ACADÊMICA EM REPRESENTAÇÃO DESCRITIVA NO CURSO DE BIBLIOTECONOMIA
Considera que a monitoria
acadêmica possibilita despertar no alunomonitor o interesse pela carreira docente
e consolidar os conhecimentos adquiridos
em determinada disciplina. Atuando como
mediador de ensino-aprendizagem, o monitor
propõe estratégias de ensino para amenizar as
dificuldades apresentadas pelos alunos. Este
relato de experiência trata a vivência de uma
acadêmica no Programa de Monitoria no curso
de Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal
de Alagoas, na disciplina Representação
Descritiva, que aborda as técnicas de
catalogação - uma das principais atividades
realizadas por bibliotecários em unidades
de informação. Objetiva servir de apoio para
alunos que desejam ingressar em um Programa
de Monitoria, além de contribuir para a reflexão
e o fortalecimento das atividades de monitoria
e estimular estudantes de Biblioteconomia
a apresentarem suas experiências. A
metodologia é a observação participante, que
consiste na integração do pesquisador com
a pesquisa em si. Descreve o ingresso no
Programa e as atividades desenvolvidas, como
a elaboração de fichas catalográficas com os
alunos e a catalogação do acervo da Biblioteca
Setorial do curso de Biblioteconomia. Também
relata a cooperação existente entre monitora
e orientadora, o que resultou em êxito ao
Programa. A monitoria possibilitou aos alunos
a apresentar um bom desempenho no decorrer
do semestre letivo e à monitora a aprofundar e
fixar melhor o conteúdo da disciplina. Concluise que contribuiu para o desenvolvimento de
uma boa relação interpessoal entre monitora,
alunos monitorados e docentes, resultando em
maior envolvimento com o curso.

Abstract:
It considers that scholar monitoring enables to arise in the student-monitor
the insterest for the teaching career and consolidates the acquired knowledge in a
determined discipline. Acting as a teaching-learning mediator, the monitor proposes
strategies of teaching to reduce the difficulties of the students. This experience report
brings the experiences of a scholar student in the Program of Monitoring in the course
of Biblioteconomy of the Federal University of Alagoas, in the discipline of Descriptive
Representation, which approaches the techniques of cataloguing – one of the main
activities held by librarians in information units. It aims at serving as a support for students
who desire joining a Monitoring Program, besides contributing to the reflection and the
fortification of the activities of monitoring and estimulating students of Biblioteconomy
to present their experiences. The methodology is the participating observation which
consists in the integration of the researcher with the research itself. It describes the
joining in the Program and the developed activities, as the production of catalog sheets
with the students and the cataloguing of the Biblioteconomy Sectoral Library collection.
It also reports the existing cooperation between the monitor and his/her advisor, what
resulted in success to the Program. The monitoring offered the students the possibility
of showing a good performance throughout the term and the monitor the chance
of a better understanding towards the contente of the discipline. It concludes that it
contributed fot the development of a good interpersonal relation among the monitor,
monitored students and the professor, resulting in a wider involvement with the course.
