O trabalho versa sobre uma análise
das interações culturais entre cristãos e pagãos
apresentada no romance histórico O Último
Reino de Bernard Cornwell. A obra literária
retrata a Inglaterra no século IX. A metodologia
se baseia em problematizações acerca das
relações entre Vikings e Saxões do Oeste,
e debater com produções, historiográficas,
existentes destes contatos. Durante toda a
obra são realizados diálogos e negociações
que envolvem o lado econômico e espiritual dos
personagens. Portanto, pretende-se realizar
uma análise da literatura contemporânea como
fonte histórica.

Abstract:
The paper deals with an analysis
of cultural interactions between Christians and
pagans presented in the historical novel The
Last Kingdom of Bernard Cornwell. The literary
work depicts England in the ninth century. The
methodology is based on problematizations
about the relations between the Vikings
and the Saxons of the West, and to discuss
with existing, historiographic, productions of
these contacts. Throughout the work are held
dialogues and negotiations that involve the
economic and spiritual side of the characters.
Therefore, it is intended to carry out an analysis
of contemporary literature as a historical source.
